Portugal has had a dominant run through Group J, going a perfect 7-0-0 and outscoring opponents 25-2. While the squad has its EURO bid locked up, Ronaldo is still expected to get the start against a Bosnia-Herzegovina squad that is still in contention for a spot.

With France having qualified for next year’s European Championship, Netherlands and Greece are fighting to join the Group B leader in Germany. Those two teams go head-to-head on Monday at the Agia Sophia Stadium in Athens. Greece is second in the group and three points ahead of Netherlands, having played a game more. Last-place Gibraltar hosts Ireland in the group’s other game, with neither team able to finish in the top two.


Second-place Austria is on the brink of securing a spot at Euro 2024 and can do so by winning at fourth-place Azerbaijan. Even defeat could still see the Austrians book their place in Germany. Group leader Belgium has already qualified and hosts third-place Sweden.


Portugal has already qualified but Bosnia-Herzegovina is still trying to advance automatically. Portugal is eight points clear after seven straight wins. Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to start again for Portugal at Bosnia. Bosnia is fourth. It’s four points behind second-place Slovakia and two points behind Luxembourg, which hosts Slovakia. Bosnia already has a guaranteed place in the playoffs in March by winning a Nations League group. Iceland hosts Liechtenstein.


Portugal booked their place at Euro 2024 with a 3-2 win over Slovakia in Porto on Friday.


Bosnia-Herzegovina are up next and Roberto Martinez's talent-stacked squad will want to extend their perfect record of seven games and seven wins in Group J.


Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a brace in the Slovakia game, with one from the penalty spot. The 38-year-old will be keen to add to his world record haul of 125 international goals.


Bosnia retain an outside chance of qualification, sitting fourth in the standings with nine points. They face the two teams above them, Luxembourg and Slovakia, in the final round of games so a positive result against the Selecao could prove to be priceless


On Monday afternoon, Group J play will continue for Bosnia and Herzegovina as the team takes on Portugal who is currently leading the standings. Bosnia and Herzegovina is in fourth place and will need to win out if it wants a chance to make it into the tournament.


The team currently has nine points and played to a 2-0 victory over Liechtenstein its last time out. Amar Rahmanović scored in the first 15 minutes to give the team a 1-0 lead and Miroslav Stevanović added to that lead with a goal shortly before halftime. Bosnia and Herzegovina produced 29 shots in the game with 13 on net, but the Liechtenstein goalie kept the score from getting out of hand.


Portugal has dominated Group J thus far and come into Monday's contest with 21 points and a guaranteed spot in the tournament. The team's most recent game resulted in a 3-2 win over Slovakia.


Christiano Ronaldo delivered a brace in the win with goals in the 29th and 72nd minute while Gonçalo Ramos got things started for Portugal with a goal in the 18th minute. Although Slovakia was able to sneak two goals in, strong defensive play in the final 18 minutes allowed the team to walk away with another three points.
